Use for Ancient Metal?
I was able to mine ore in parts of Ashland before the new Ashlands update came out. The ore required a blast furnace and made ancient metal. I asumed this would be the metal needed for Ashlands when it was fully loaded but nope instead there is flametal. Anybody figure out what the ancient metal is for?

Ancient metal used to be called flametal.

They made a new itemid , called it flametal , and changed the old flametal itemid to ancientmetal for obvious reasons.

I did the same thing.

Ancient metal is worthless afaik.

Depending on your mod loadout, Ancient metal is needed for World Serpent Armor.

Turn it into coal at the obliterator.

Ancient flametal was a placeholder for the real thing before the ashlands update.
Now the process to get the proper ore is way harder so using the old stuff would be cheating, hence they made it useless.
You can keep it as a novely or drop it as garbage, but it serves no role now.
