Drakkar dimensions?
Anyone been able to build this yet and know how tall/wide it is compared to the longship? Planning on making a dock with a skybridge, and need to make sure I've got clearance for any ships under it.

online source says 15x35x20 where 20 is height and is approximated, it may be shorter than this. Units are 1x1 wall is 1 unit.

So 20 high, and one unit is a full wall's height? That...doesn't feel right. It lists the longship as being 11 high, and there's no way the longship's that tall.

BUT That still leaves me with "about double the longship's height", which gives me enough to work off of.

The full wall is 2x2. The smallest wall is 1x1.

AH, the little half-ones. That makes more sense, 11 of those sounds about right. Awesome, so long as I've got a clearance of 22 or so I should be set for most waves. TY both!

If height is 20, then you're going to want at least 24 meters clearance under your skybridge (waves can get up to 4 meters above and 2 meters below shoreline - where the land changes from foliage to sand - in every place and weather condition I've tested).

Has anyone figured out a way to use this \_behemoth_/ for transporting multiple loxen or the new tameable askivin around without them all leaping into the water whenever there are enemies nearby? I mean without riders.

Really wish I could build a cage on it.

youre aware that asksvin lay eggs you can just teleport to whereever you want them yes? no reason for ship transport.

as for the tc : you dont need a dock for this thing. you aint sailing it home on default ever. there is just no reason to do so.

You should be worry about the depth of your dock...

^ Kampger91 has a good point. The Drakkar has a much deeper draft than the other ships. It hits sandbars that one would never think twice about when using the karve and longship.

Even standing in the water as far as one can go and using a pickaxe, one can't usually make the water deep enough for it.

The canal I'm setting up the dock in is about 7 meters deep, pretty sure it'll be alright

Thanks, and yes, I recall reading about the eggs. The ship is so big, I enjoy the idea of taking pets along on a voyage with it, to other parts of ashlands or who knows where. Maybe to the edge of the world.

I was looking forward to the new ship but the drakkar seems like it was designed as a one or two time thrill ride, of little use after reaching the mainland except for a bit of role-playing.
