Morgen Cave Adventure
So, I finally found a cool little cave in the hellish fever-dream that is Ashlands, so I tiptoed in.
Gloomy and dark, as caves are wont to be, but then - what's this? A big pile of bones simply stood up from the floor and grinned a big, toothy grin at me!?!

"Ha!," I thought, "jokes on you: I have some nice charred bolts all loaded and ready, HERE you go - wait, what? That... barely scratched you? OK, so HOO HOO HOO-BOY, WE ARE RUNNING..."

So, pretty quickly I figured out that a highly effective strategy is running around in circles while screaming like a little girl. I'm not sure if the screaming part is strictly necessary, but I'm not risking changing anything because it seems to be effective. Also, there was a spot in THIS cave that you can get into that the Morgen can't follow you. I don't know if those are in ALL of the caves or just THIS one, but it was very handy for catching breath and taking a potion or two.

Also, I figured out that if you stand with your back to the exit and shoot at the charging Morgen, the recoil of the Arbalest can shoot you right out of the cave and back into the hellscape. I also found out that you can attract the attention of two charred marksman, a twitcher, and a Blob all at once if you pop suddenly out of a Morgen cave and they all happen to be standing right around there somehow. Oh, and ALSO: if you turn and try to shoot the closest thing that is about to kill you, you can recoil yourself right back into the Morgen cave! This little ping-pong game was far less effective than the running around in circles due to the time delay in reloading being slightly longer than the amount of time it takes enemies to get over the shock of your sudden appearance and start wailing on you.
Oh, and one more cool thing I learned: you won't burn up running naked from your hovel of a portal base to the Morgan cave to retrieve your body. So, I got that going for me...

Morgen [valheim.fandom.com] are about the only creature in Ashlands that is not immune/resistant to poison. Their lairs are a good spot to dump any ooze bombs left over from infested mines. Won't finish them by any stretch, but a good start.
