once you have the new heavy armor you can grab these quickly and move away without takeing dmg. as the new heavy armor delays the lava dmg by about 1.5 seconds before it triggers.

but yeah. till then : ORANGE GROUND EVEN SLIGHTLY orange ground = NOT WORTH IT. stay away from even slightly orange ground. lava is more lethal than anything in this biome.

and drink barley wine if you use the feather cape. do yourself the favor. FULLTIME. otherwise you will regret it sooner or later.
