The same with bats. But I think that's a fallacy.
It's just a coincidence.
As for the Raids from Hildir, just defeat the Boss but keep the Chest/Reward in
your Base, and bring it to her when you think you are ready for these Raids.
In specific for Zil and Thungr.

Edit: The other bosses are kinda meh and easy to defeat.
i wish raids of all types happened equally, even when you progress thru the game.
abomination raids would be epic. or at least include some with drauger. - you know, maybe after you beat moder or yagluth, spice up swamp raids with abominations.
but yeah, so far, raids are confusing and the raid pool from which the game draws at any point in your progression is small. but we always get skellies. why the skellies.
I understand, raid cancelation shows defeat of the forsaken boss - a lore mechanic - but i wish they wouldn't!! Those creatures are still out there and getting killed all the time. It's equally lore friendly to keep those raids going. PLUS, it makes the raid mechanic way better to have that larger pool.
I could see a chance weight being in favor the player-based current biomes/progression. But not removing a raid entirely. And when all bosses are defeated - just make all raids have the same chance.
on my actual run i did not defeated any boss, but defeated sealed tower (twice) for iron, and got 3 different raids. 1. forest is moving 4x, they where bros 2x and last one eikthyr creatures (something like this) but did not gave chest to hildir. i expected two raids, troll (ground is shaking) and eikthyr creature but now i am not sure did i made something wrong or rules changed?
thank you for reading and have fun playing valheim
Raids have specific triggers to start having them and some also have specific triggers that stop them, others are permanent. The first permanent raid is the troll raid once its unlocked since it is permanent you may experience more troll raids than any other through out a game because it is unlocked earlier. This may make you feel the troll raids happen more often. When the troll raid starts the only other raid that is available is the foul smell raid so there is only a choice of 2. As you play longer you add more possible raids to the permanent list and the chance that one specific raid will occur decreases as there are more raids to choose from.
In answer to other questions the wolf raid can only happen in the mountains and the plains and its the only raid that doesn't require you to be in a base with 3 or more base items. (Second option to cheese: you can build a livestock pen in the meadows by dropping 2 work benches each 1/2 work bench radius from the other and then fence in the ellipse. Since you only have 2 base items, and are not in the plains or mountains, no raids can occur here. You can lure 2 boars here and tame them and as long as you are only here during the day you will only have to deal with greylings outside the fence. You can also do your farming here. Feed the boars when you arrive and while you harvest and plant they will breed. Once your boars are tame you can replace the 2nd work bench with a portal. If you need to make repairs on the portal side of the pen, drop a workbench when you are there, make the repairs, and pick up the extra workbench when done).
Drake raids are in the game. They start when you have killed Bonemass and end when you have killed Moder.
Bat raids are also in the game. They start when you have killed Bonemass and a bat and are always in the possible raid list after.
Bats and drakes fly and can enter your base through windows without crystal or grates and through chimneys. You can cheese the smoke mechanic by making your chimney 8 meters higher than the fire and just roofing it with thatch that matches the rest of your roof and doesn't leave a gap. The smoke dissipates on its own at 8 meters even if there is no open air above it.
World-based raids are default ones and mostly depend on whether bosses and/or minibosses have been killed once in current world.
Player-baised raids must be enable in settings and mostly depend on any given player's holdings, such as forsaken powers and/or trophies/drops in inventory or in base (I'm not sure).
This allows for setting for more peaceful worlds for new players in MP, for example.
In your case, there's apparently a Brenna raid if you keep her chest (player-based raid), and another raid if you give the chest back to Hildir (world-based raid). It is not clear whether those raids are exactly the same or not.
