Troll Cave BUG??

Well idk if someone has this problem. I looked in google about it but nobody start the discussion about. THE POINT: i found 2 Troll Caves with Trolls (normal as it), but since then every Troll cave i encounter is empty (loot is ok) like troll/trolls dont spawn in it. Is this normal/do someone encounter this... lets call it for now issue? I play mostly solo with some friends on private server (no other people who could kill trolls from what i know, and server works only when i play). Thanks for some explenation. Cheers

It's normal. Some have trolls in them, some are empty.

Very odd. This is not something I've come across and I play 99% solo, and love breaking into their homes to slaughter them.

I find empty caves all the time, usually if they are empty inside there's a troll outside. It's also possible the troll walked away to attack something. but i have found empty caves with no trolls on worlds no one other than myself have been in.

Odd. I always find a Troll outside and inside. Found lots of caves. Maybe I'm just lucky? o_O

Lost troll cave I went into sounded like a troll was present, but nowhere to be seen. I assume it spawned inside the terrain, just like Draugr do in those mudpiles in crypts, which contrary to patch notes still happens.

Yep 100% trolls are outside. I hope Iron Gate confirm that information that Troll Caves not always are occupied. Thanks all for fast reply.

Multiple people DID just confirm that troll caves are not occupied. This appears to be intended and is supported by the spawns in these caves. Trolls in caves generally are protecting storage chests with goodies. Unoccupied caves usually just have a few drops of pearls or amber, maybe a few pieces of gold, plus the requisite yellow mushrooms.

every "dungeon" in game has "random spawn" thingies
in case of troll cave... for example the trolls, both the one inside and outside are random spawn

you can find caves with 2 trolls (one infront of entrance and one inside) but you can also find caves with 0 trolls (and no loot chest), that's the point of "random"

This is not an issue. Finding some empty is normal.
