are there weather commands for vanilla?

i'm trying to explore this mountain biome and, i ♥♥♥♥ you not, have had 5 minutes total of clear weather for the whole hour i've been wandering around in a constant barrage of snowstorms.

im beyond annoyed at this point.

Yes. If you have devcommands enabled, hit F5 and type “env clear”

Been looking for a way to activate them myself, but the -console command does nothing in my game and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, also having problems with storms.

You need to press F5 to actually activate the console...

Edit: Not sure what problems you people have with storms... They happen, yes. But just as often I have clear skys and a tremendous view. ;)
