Mod compilation suggestions?
Im looking for a complete modpack thats updated regularly, thats compatible/includes Valheim plus and Jewel Crafting or Epic Loot. And adds content to not used biomes yet.
Intended for solo play.
Also whats best to use Thunderstore modmanager or R2modman?

V+ :steamfacepalm:

Good luck on your Hunt.

I can suggest only R2modman as i never tried anything else. It works fine and we never had any issues with it. Our current modpack is Valkans and we update it regularly according to our needs/likes to the game process. It has Jewel crafting, creature level and loot control (currently limited to 3star mobs), several building mods, skill mod for sailing, honey+ for a bit better foods (thinking about adding potions plus too) and some other QoL mods. I wouldn’t recommend any new biomes mods as they just aren’t fun and require a lot of balancing with extra mods.
What i would recommend is to use pre-made world. We finished The Olde Road and are currently playing A Shattered World. These worlds can be found on nexus. They are fun, check the description on nexus and see if you would like it.

Hey there,

please remember that as of now modding is not officially supported. It's done at your own risk, there are no guarantees for future compatibility. Please keep backups of your save files before you start modding. If you need technical support, please always include a full list of active AND prior mods, since that can influence the game's behaviour with regard to bugs.

Have a good day!

Thanks for the answers
Why the thumbs down for Valheim plus? Being able to customize everything is best thing ever

wait till and if they allow steam workshop. hopefully sooner rather than later. would really help ease things for us (and the dev team ect ) during the huge time it takes for updates.

Nah ive got quite some experience with mods from workshop, in many cases it doesnt work properly. In those cases it was always a must to use a 3rd party modmanager

If you want to mod, I can heartily recommend ThunderStore.

It will allow you to browse 1500+ mods directly from the app, it will allow you to install, configure, en- or disable, update, or uninstall every mod they offer. ThunderStore will resolve dependencies, and will tell you if a mod has an update available for it.

You can also add mods manually to the ThunderStore interface.

ThunderStore and mods are kept totally separate from Valheim, thus allowing the mod manager to start the game vanilla in case of problems related to mods.

I can only highly recommend it.

Best place to find mods?
Looking for a main site that has the bulk of Valheim mods.

Thanks.

I actually went there today, and uhh, I wish the OP much luck.

I was medicated and couldn't stop laughing at some of the mods such as banana trees for Valheim... yeah that's what my viking needs... some potassium. ;)

So again, I wish the OP luck, and remember with each patch, just like in any other game, you must update your mods.

I should say, come release, I will be looking for a mod that auto-levels an area... such as click area, drag rectangle to size of area you want leveled, click again, and it auto-completes it.

I loathe leveling for large projects.

V+ is not regularly maintained as the authors have pretty much abandoned updating it. your game will break if using it and an update to the game occurs.

if u want a similar mod, i suggest the ODINPlus QoL mod. it is regularly maintained by a group of authors who are still VERY active in the mod scene.

They went around, taking other peoples code slapped it all in one mod, called it their own then got Server providers to install it as a requirement for modding and proceeded to abandon said mod. It causes nothing but issues.

I dont care about servers. But i doubt they just copied code, since nexus takes that stuff very seriously, mabye they took the ideas and concepts of other mods and included them, which is totaly fine. Abandoned? I dont see that, it still works with latest update.

Why not just go into "creative mode" and you will have all. No "leveling" needed
