draugr spawning where they shouldnt
a draugr spawned in my boar pen I had finally caught a 1 star and 2 star boar it took me 4 hours I finally got some piglet spawns I was making a butcher knife by the time I made it back to the pen it was too late a draugr spawned inside the iron fenced area and killed everything. Thing like this really make me question playing this game spending so much time getting things to work for things like this to happen, or the fact that as soon as you try to tame wolves the drakes get a bloodthirst and want to kill them and only them I have even had some clip through my building and kill them while I am afk. I have to make a stonecutter and block them off entirely or else they are easy pickings for the drakes I have been playing this game for a LONG time before the hearth and home update and this is getting REDICULOUS!!

Some possibilities.

1. There was an event that you didnt notice and the draugr spawned from it.

2. You are in an area where they can potentially spawn but you didnt have enough workbench or similar coverage to prevent spawns happening.

Ways to lessen this risk/issue.

1. Have multiple maps(seeds) specific for specific boss/tier fighting. This means you only have the initial neck/boar spawn event.

2. Building better protective pins with significant distance buffers on all sides(including ceiling. This way chances of clippers getting to tames is reduced significantly.

3. Better, wider radius inundation of workbenches or the so far around your base and in it that spawns are cut to nothing(or close to nothing.

4. Building your main base on a small island so far out from any other land mass that event spawns or other similar things never can occur due to being away from it all. so to speak. Make sure per point 3 that entire tiny tiny island is well bench'd.

5. Use mods that also help better protect you(dont really need if doing above though but its a choice at least).
I've noticed Draugr spawning far away from any Swamp and definitely not from events, too. I'm running mods, but nothing that should cause that behavior, really.
I've never noticed Draugr spawning anywhere else where they're not supposed to be.
Draugr spawns and actually any enemy spawn depends on progress in the game and location. If something spwaned anywhere you did not intend to let anything spawn, then it is simply not fully covered by workbenches, fireplaces or anything that prevents this. The smallest bits are enough for something like this to happen. Only other option would be bugs.
Never seen a Draugr spawn when not in sight of a swamp, unless in a Draugr village. It could be kited over from a village I suppose, but not seen it spawn in a closed fence area with workbenches.
I have only seen this when I was on a mod'd server. I have never seen it in vanilla, even when my base has been close to a swamp.
Reminder: Drauger do spawn in meadows.
that's why i put my breeders out of reach.pain in the ass to push them up stairs but it can be done :). then you can just rain down babies lol

But only in Draugr villages, right? I would be very surprised if they could generally spawn there (unless it is the regular invasion event).
Yes, only in the village areas as far as I have seen.

Ah, for a moment I thought WTH? ;)
Due to OPs stated experience I am going to assume it was a mod issue.

Drauger can wander pretty far away from a swamp/village chasing stuff around but I think the OP would have mentioned being near a swamp/village.

And the whole inside fence thing.... ha ha didn't just wander in I suppose.

Friendly reminder that modding is done at your own risk.
I have seen them spawn at night during fog after beating 3rd boss I think. You know you could look at the wiki instead of having several people making assumptions, even more funny when they haven't actually finished the game. I'm sorry but that's not exactly helping. So after having a look at the wiki: Yep, nightly spawn. As for during the day: IDK, could only have been from an event then. But I still believe the area wasn't fully covered. Edit: Sometimes after an event they will also stick around outside the base for a bit, doing a bit of hunting for you.
Also I understand one might not want to accidentally spoil themselves when scrolling through the wiki. But might be better to not actually consult the forums other than asking for help as most people do not use spoiler tags - or the topic says it all already.

I'm pretty sure most of us have "finished" the not-yet-complete-game...

And I have yet to encounter Draugr at night in my Meadows home. I will check it out more specifically, though.

Don't tell people they shouldn't make assumptions and then make assumptions yourself that are completely wrong.
Yes I'm sorry for that. The game just has many hidden mechanics that one might never discover even after playing several hundreds of hours. I didn't mean to sound that harsh. All I wanted to say was that you could look it up if you wanted to.
