Can't place first boss trophy?

I need help I love this game but I beat the first boss and can't figure out why I can't place it on the stone thingy.

Are you trying to place it on the correct stone alter?

If yes, strange it isn't working.

You have to go to your spawn area where there are 5 or 6 erected stones.
In your inventory, you put the trophy in one of the quick access slot, for instance 1.
When you are in front of Eikthyr's erected stone, you press 1 to hang it.

After that, you have to press "F" key to activate your power.

You don't need to put it in hotbar, it can be anywhere in inventory. You just have to aim at the hook and press E. Are you sure you are aiming on a trophy hook?

And not on the alter where you dropped the trophies?

On each stone, there is a rune to read, and a hook to attach the trophy too. Aim at the hook, and it should give you a prompt.

Its not the little square stone that marks the location.

Are you running mods? Mods can break the game.

If it's marking the location, that's the wrong one. It's the large stone next to it with the chain around it.
