The issue with it is all the Seekers do aoe/splash damage in addition to their (biome appropriate) massive damage.
Fulings can ravage complex wooden structures, but they still only hit 1 square at a time. Seeker soldiers in particular can knock an entire corner of a building off, then the rest starts to collapse form lack of stability.
Yesterday 3 new players joined the community server I'm playing on with a streamer friend. Mind you we have only killed 2 bosses.. the new players were killed repeatedly by these super fun "events" and ohh yea don't forget how fun night time is EVEN in the Meadows for a new player fighting off 4 mob enemy squads all night until we can all make beds and sleep. They all quit and will likely not be playing the game again I know one person actually straight up got a refund. Let us turn things like this off. MORE options never hurts anyone..
With only the first 2 bosses killed it should not be a big problem. Especially if you provide newcomers with armor and one of your old bases. You can also get around this problems by killing the bosses on a second world and not your main server. This is what i did. Mainly because i didint wanted to fortify all of my old bases to hold up to fuling or seeker raids.
In general the mob-raids should stick to their biome so no seeker-soldiers show up in the meadows. Making this configurable is a good idea and shouldnt take long as the there seem to be console commands for this....
It is a pity that ppl that want to have a nicely built themed base and progress the game sort of can't do that, it's a pity that they target your base and not so much you, they should try to break down doors and get to you before 'blindly' tunnelling through your walls, i mean how smart are they..
It would be nice if bases were, in a way, indestructible, but that's a can of worms, not doors or something.. I dunno, maybe massively increase the hp of a building but well, there can be cheese there..
like as long as there is doors leading to you they will go to doors but wall your self up and they will go nuts..
Then you could have a safe house of the beaten path ready for war maybe, I know they do essentially go for you and not your base atm.
Considering what everyone has been saying a out events getting out of hand I think I'm going to build a war tower somewhere on my property, see how that goes.
