Smelter stops working after update

After updating the game and loading into the world I currently play in solo, my smelter does not work properly. It turns on for a few seconds, then turns off for around half a minute, then turns of again for a couple of seconds, and turns off again, and so on. This makes smelting anything to take much more time than it should. I tried to deconstruct and rebuilding the smelter, but it did not fix the issue.
Did anybody else experienced similar issue or have any idea how it can be fixed?

Can the smoke get away?

Happens when the top of it is blocked, even though it technically doesn't produce the same kind of smoke as a campfire.

The smoke can get away, and it worked fine before the patch - I used a setup which probably most people use, with a rooftop piece to let smoke out while keeping rain away. I even rebuilt part of the roof to provide larger "pipe" for smoke to go through, but it did not help.

Try it in clear sky. To verify that isnt the issue.

Did you clear all mods before starting H&H update?

It's definitely the smoke issue. Noticed it myself. Make the pipe bigger, make the exit for the smoke bigger as well. Reason smelter/kiln will turn off/on randomly is when being choked out by smoke.

The H&H update made them produce more smoke and the ability for them to be choked out by that smoke.
