Can you adjust any difficulty setting?(Singleplayer)
Hello, thinking about buying this and i wanted to ask
if you can change the amount of resources and various stuff like that.
Thanks :) .

Hi, you cannot adjust anything. Everything is randomly generated.

You can however start the game on a specific seed (like Minecraft). People have shared seeds with abundant resources or good biome distribution, so you can search for seeds here on steam forums or on reddit. The seed is any string of letters or numbers, it could look like "fE8Wl9A" or it could also look like "BestSeedEver" and you input it in the game when you create a new world :)

You can change some values with mods, but need to wait untill they update them for the new release.

No, but the game plays well with mods.

Some ppl have also played the game as is, then modded it, then decided to keep or not the modded version.
I've modded the game to increase some QOL things and to change the amount of mined minerals, namely copper.
(This because I have lots of boring real life chores and cannot spend too many time just mining).

the devs give you console controle. if you wish, you can build for free, be invincible and invisible, spawn every item and recourse you want without grind. deffently worth the mooney

Appreciate the fast replies!
Sadly not having stock settings that alter the experience is a deal breaker for me.
In games like this we need that control over our singleplayer world cause there
are many things designed for multiplayer that are extremely frustrating when you solo.
Thank you for the fast info/replies :) .

This game is easily playable solo. Not sure what makes anyone think it's not. It scales to how many players are on the map. I enjoy playing it with my partner but regularly log in to play on my own. Played it both with mods and without. I use V+ for some QOL changes that make the game make more sense to me but Vanilla absolutely works - played about halfway through the game before making any changes with MODs and before using the devcommands to save a little time. As someone who freaks out in games that cause high tension, this is a fun one for me.

not really, i play solo just fine and so do thousands of other players. these devs want to make THEIR game, its not designed to cater to every individual. you either like it or you don't.

That's honestly a very fair point, it's not always about the experience each individual wants, sometimes its about the experience/product you want/meant to offer.
I can't argue with that but i can avoid the game :).

as i stated, this game definitely won't be for everyone. that said though, it really shouldn't stop you from at least trying the game out, you can always refund if kept under 2 hours of game time :)

FWIW Loot Multiplier is a simple but highly configurable grind reduction mod that has survived all updates so far and will function on an otherwise vanilla server.

No. However you can choose to put more work in to make the game easier. The level 1 of each equipment is perfectly serviceable for its respective boimes and a good player can get through the biome and beat the boss with it. However if you're struggling for whatever reason you can spend extra time gathering more resources to upgrade equipment further. If can often take twice as much resources, and so time farming, to max out any given piece of equipment, but it makes it substantially stronger.
I'm disabled, have nerve damage, no more twitchy reflexes for me, so I invest in maxing out my gear before fighting each boss and have yet to die to any of them (Other than my first intro to swamp level poison, I've only died in stupid ways because I got to cocky and careless).
