Appreciate that, from what I seen of the game...definitely gonna love this once this issue gets ironed out. Filed a bug report...seems this is happening to a lot of us with RTX cards so I am sure there will be a fix or workaround figured out.
I fixed my issues with crashing, by reinstalling an older graphics driver, and lowering my resolution, at least for like 2 days, until it started crashing again.
This is local server and just us two. I just made a dedicated server, will let you know if it changes.
But i'm running on a fresh windows install. Have you tried running driver sweeper to clean out your graphics driver then do a fresh install? Sometimes the drivers go bad when installing new ones over the top of old ones over and over.

8 week old up to date Windows 10.
No OC
Never had any issues with other games I’ve played extensively over the last 8 weeks except RD2 (which was a Vulcan issue)
Bought the game and played about 20 hours with no real issues then went to play the next day and it froze up and did so repeatedly within 20 minutes for 3 hours or so. Then it ran ok for about 12 hours after a .NET repair (though I was logging out often to force character and world save) then it started again and now happens at random times.
The only things that changed during it working and not working was a .NET update from MS and the latest patch 0.143.5 from Irongate. Repairing .NET didn’t work and the .NET update did break my rivatuner, though it does eventually run if I want it.
In event viewer I get the following 2 errors (nvlddmkm) and one warning (display);
\Device\Video3
Graphics Exception: ESR 0x526730=0x260009 0x526734=0x0 0x526728=0xf812b60 0x52672c=0x1174
\Device\Video3
Graphics SM Warp Exception on (GPC 4, TPC 4, SM 0): Illegal Instruction Encoding
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Started using a dedicated server in the background to preserve world data and logout often to force saves if I can’t offload valuable stuff sitting in my inventory while waiting for the autosave.
Did some driver reinstalls etc but will try rolling back to see if that helps (will try 461.09)
When did it start happening for you guys?
Basically if anyone has crashing give this a try. Right click on the game name itself in Steam and click on Properties. From there disable Steam Overlay by unchecking it and add the following to the LAUNCH OPTIONS line:
-window-mode exclusive -screen-fullscreen
I also went into Nvidia control panel and turned Vsync to "FAST" and put my GPU into performance mode for the game's EXE.
Some reason this completely fixed it so I guess there is some sort of issue with this game and needing to be in Exclusive mode. I thought the Fullscreen option in game was that but apparently its only Windowed Fullscreen.
So I got a full run working last night, already got some builds done. I do occasionally see a micro freeze happen but it usually is random now and recovers. Lasts literally for a millisecond so I suspect that is where I usually see complete freezes but having exclusive mode is helping it to recover now.
I appreciate all the help in this thread, but I think I figured out the issue for my system. So far so good lol
Yea I am noticing in their Discord this problem is not priority right now lol. I had to dig deep on google about this error and found in another game similar issues and forcing exclusive mode till they patched the issue seemed to fix that game. Seems to have worked on this one.
I did have one crash after this fix but I forgot I was moving a file from a drive to another drive when I booted up....so I cancelled that and no issues again. This game seems to need all the resources it can get...which is odd seeing I have pretty beefy system.
Hopefully this fixes it for a few out there, I see reddit is ate up with this very issue so I just posted as well over there so others can try it out, not sure if it will work or not for everyone but seems to work for my system so far. Devs should look into this, I know its their first game but this probably is not a huge ordeal to fix and honestly kind of important if you got issues like this.
