2: The world is massive go explore it and get resources away from your home forest then
1. Criticisms/suggestions are extremely relevant especially in a game under production.
2. If I want to farm trees and replant forests, that should be my prerogative.
(I am fully aware of how long the ONLY tree's you can farm take to grow. [beech] Obviously you missed the point. It is a mechanic THEY COULD ADD if they wanted to balance farmable fine trees) *also known as A SUGGESTION
*Stay in school
I just cut down some trees I had forgotten about and it was 2 or 3 fir trees and 4 or 5 beech trees. I got 8 beech seeds and 2 fir cones.
Imagine trying to imply intellectual superiority while simultaneously not knowing that there are more tree seeds than Beech.
While I do concur and find myself in accord with the present point that all trees should provide the means by which they can be replicated, you do not need to feel drawn to respond with the mindset of an adolescent by reducing your returns to what can be equivocally summarized as "U ALL DUMDUMS". This is especially true in the event that other actors in the discussion are merely and simply bringing contradistinction and/or rebuttals to the given dilemma that you have expressed your indignation with.
I hope that was enough words of "pinnacle intelligent" for you. Let me know how many words you needed to look up champ, because I didn't need to.
Maybe heed your own advice - stay in school. At least until you get your HS diploma, which I highly advise at his point.
Oh dear, I better not plant these 13 Fir Cones then... Evidently the only tree with seeds is Beech!
I disagree - because Oak and Birch - Ancient Wood - and I'm going to assume other wood types later on are all classified as rare and as a rare commodity: they have no method of replenishment.
Even if they did add seeds for them... which I doubt they will as it appears to have been an incredibly deliberate development decision... but even if they do: they add 1 seed for every 50 cut down: it STILL makes sense to use alternative world seeds to farm resources like this if you feel your existing world doesn't have enough of said resources around your bases.
I just got Pine Cones. Mind you up to now I haven't ever had any. I did fully upgrade the Iron Axe prior to getting but whether that made any difference who only knows. They're there, anyway. :)
C'mon mang, Fir is NOT a "fine" wood. (Fir would be a better farming wood as it doesn't get stuck on branches when cutting down, and is easier to farm in rows) Beech sucks for that reason.
Pine is ALSO not a "Fine" wood. [It IS however, "Core" wood]
The problem is, that getting seeds from them isn't enough to facilitate actual farming....
The entire point of the whole post...
There are currently no seeds for oak or birch. [The "Fine" woods]
*This is most likely a "balance" decision.
--- As for all the suggestions, I think the only really reasonable one is to farm on separate "seeds" and maintain the resources on the main. (Not that I hadn't already been doing that) ;)
I will try to analyze tree lifespan and seed drop rates next... MAYBE I get lucky and find out that core wood is farmable after a specific period of growing time. Fingers crossed!!!
