Rain is damaging wood walls
You can prevent that with a bonfire right? Whats up with torches? And will they break completely at some point or just stay at something like 40% hp?

Place thatch roof structures over things to prevent them from taking the damage.

I don't think fires protect your wood, you need it to be roofed. It will only go down to 50% though.

50% is ridiculous. From rain?!

In the future damage my be more severe so always good to get in the habit of covered construction and basic maintenance.

The big thing now is if you find your base under siege having rain damaged objects just makes it that much easier for them to fall to the enemy.

You shouldn't be using anything but palisades for your walls anyways, because they do not suffer from the rain damage.

Thanks a lot, that basically covered all my questions.
Also; are sieges getting challenging at some point? Im done with the second boss and rarely a small horde of graydwarfes are attacking, nothing more.

Yes they do get a bit more challenging, but in my opinion they are still pretty lackluster and not really dangerous, at least solo.

With 6+ players they can get interesting though.

hey guys, quick question: when does the raid start?
AguilaDeAcero Feb 13, 2021 @ 7:29am
Well.. the rain some times it's really strong! So it makes some sense.

Usually every few in-game days and gets progressively stronger with each boss you kill and mount.

You've obviously never seen something like a fence made of untreated wood rot right through and collapse. Unless you have a Degree in Construction we don't know about of course and know what you are talking about....

I've been getting Draugr and Skeletons attacking me in the Meadows.

The rain damage is a bit much. Though in real life I've had buildings and fences pulled apart by wind and rain. So I guess it's ok in game :)

Just popped on the add that given the repair mechanic is so lenient (which I personally really like) having to mallet a few things now and then is a nice compromise between maintenance/item degradation and mindless grind.
