Then, over the weekend and through Tuesday, I had 4 glorious days of access and mindless forest destruction. Today though, back to not responding all day. They keep offering to shuffle the server around to different datacenters in different geographic regions (though likely just a slightly less over-committed host may suffice.
I have other game servers running with Nitrado without any issue whatsoever, so I suspect the new-ness of Valheim probably didn't jive well with their plan to stack a bunch of game servers onto the same hosts. I expect it will get better. Maybe they just need time to build out new hosts for all these vikings wanting their own dedicated servers. I doubt they ever turn down someone buying a server because they feel they're at capacity, but I'm definitely re-evaluating whether I'll continue on the service.
Valheim loves multicores and cannot be tweaked to play nice with other server programs running on the same physical server (i hope they really fix this issue soon), thus it barely can run on a Nitrado server that hosts several games at once.
I dont recommend any rental servers, but Nitrado must the worst of them all, really was put of on how they give support (none), and how they over rent slots.
