How to find the seed my server is using?
Cant see it in servers list or what some people have said in the steam server browser.

seed is the name of .db and .fwl files

those just say Valheim, I tried using that seed in singleplayer and it is a completely different map

If you open the .fwl, you can actually see it. In my file i used "dankforest" as seed, and i was able to read it. It's on the 2nd line.

hw do i find the seed for the server im using if i dont have access to the files? the server is a paid for server by our guild, but not even the guy who paid for it knows what seed is being used.

You can't. I believe this is by design. It is to prevent a player from, for example, creating a local world with the same seed, and then using the console commands to expose the whole map.

Whoever first created that world should know the seed. If they don't, then the person who created the server should be able to access the world FWL file and see what it is. The files should be found here:

C:\Users\[installation user]\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds

It’s was for my server I figured it out tho thanks. My world got bugged and it changed the map, and I didn’t want to restart exploration cause it takes so damn long
