Absolutely.
Yea, its great. Awesome building system and the progression is satisfying. Sailing is a blast.

As someone who didn't play on release and just started playing 2-3 weeks ago I say it's 100% worth it, put over 100h in it already and I can see myself easily putting twice or thrice that.

Sailing is the only thing i hate about this game, Why the hell does the wind have to always be against you. Only thing i have an issue with, and more of a personal gripe.

Yeah sailing is pretty dull

to be fair, one of the forsaken powers does "solve" the issue "while active" but it does not fix the issue. I am sure a mod might, but i would rather just go with the wind then use a mod that gives me more freedom. ( except for Farmgrid ) that one is staying in the modlist.

You can go at speed 1 no matter what the wind is doing, dont want to cross the whole map that way but getting to the next island is no big deal

2000 hours.. great game. Lots added since release. Some small side quests and mini bosses. Two new biomes that will test your skills and not for the faint of heart. Bunch of new weapons and recipes. And of course, the building system, in my opinion, is beyond compare. I personally like sailing, its relaxing and if you tack with the wind correctly, can get anywhere pretty quick. I don't play any mods.

I don't think so, no. It's got a lot of "anti-fun" mechanics and a lot of jank. Most people have to use mods to keep playing. It actively fights you every step of the way -- from having to plant every single thing one at a time, to always having to fight the wind while sailing, to even the fact that when you kill a troll it t-poses and then ragdolls instead of having a real animation. The game has been in early access for like 3 years now and it still feels like it's only had about a year worth of work and content to it.
