Dedicated Server Software Not Current game Build?

Hey Steam, Is the Dedicated Server software version Up to date?

I'm trying to get my EUGameHost server running.

It constantly says it's running an older version of the game. This is after many people a lot cleverer than me have played around in the control panel trying to update the server.

Everything is pointing towards Steam not releasing an up to date dedicated server version

Server seems to be working just fine for me. And if it says that the GAME is the older version, then it points to the game not being up-to-date, rather than the server.

The Game is running the latest non PTB version, but the server won't update past 896660. Even the Dedicated server software in Tools on Steam is 896660.

896660 is the Steam app id for the Valheim dedicated server.
892970 is the Steam app id for the Valheim game.

They have nothing to do with version numbers. These are numbers in the internal Steam cataloging system. The latest live version of Valheim is 0.218.21 (n-31).

Ok, so the app build that we download from the server folder is 0.217.38 and the native version is 0.218.21 (n-31)

Well, not sure where or what you're downloading, but when I install the server through Steam, I get the right version. Are you sure you're getting the right thing?

Edit: When you're in your library, you need to open the drop down menu right above the search bar and mark the checkbox for "tools".

Now you should be able to search for Valheim server. Once you found it, you can install it locally on your computer.
