Silver ingots are a component of the mace, so if you've not yet been up the Mountains, nor ever obtained freeze glands (which drop from the frost drakes found there), that'd be the reason why you've not yet unlocked the recipe.
The other component is Ancient Bark, but I imagine you've touched that if you've been running around the Swamps with the Elder defeated.
This is very helpful, thanks! Does it matter if I wasn't present for the killing of the Elder? I wasn't online that night.
No, doesnt matter, you get Ancient Bark from the trees in the Swamps :)
it is not so important to touch the trouphy head except it does give you an award in the ingame statistics page of bosses and creatures that you "know".
When he die he give you the swamp key that allow you to get down into the crypts in the swamp and mine iron. So get a swamp key from your friends might be a good idea.
BUT not that much of an issue since your friends can unlock the crypts in the swamp for you.. but put a key in the base then everyone can use it. Everyone who helped defet the elder recived 1 key.
In general when playing multiplayer its a good idea when you defeat a difficulty enemy to drop his trophy or other stuff on the ground and let everyone pickup and drop it again, so people unlock things them self so everyone can build the same.
But sometimes it can be a little bit of a jungle since not everyone play every time, or touch everything or build everything. So sometomes go though the boxes in your base and touch things is a good idea.
Even though i have played hundreds of houres there are still a few things in the game that i never tried building my self such as the large base defence that fire bolts, and i also did not build all potions or all kind of food. But though i completed the game multiple times.
But then we can try new strategys next time and build other things.
