Either wolf or the good ol' deer cape, can't stand the lox cape, almost looks like a piece of wet cardboard.

I wear the troll one because since they all give the same armor bonus I found no reason to upgrade any but the troll.

I enjoy the lox cape, but second play went for wolf. I also like the different colored linen capes when outside of mountains. Yellow and red being my favorite pairing with padded.

But a troll cape doesn't protect you from freezing in the mountains. Lox/Wolf makes a huge difference and a saving on frost potions. Personally i enjoy the wolf cape

I have a wolf cape for that reason but now unless I am going into the mountains I wear the t3 troll cape with padded armor. I also happen to like the blue color of troll although I doubt the extra 2 armor I get from it does anything for me.

Lox cape. It uses far less silver, and it's easy enough to get the lox hides to make it once you learn the tricks of killing the big stupid beasts. Plus the extra head on the wolf cape just looks silly.

The wolf chest piece will also protect from freezing.

My latest play-through I didn't get a wolf head yet so I just made the chest piece first and have a troll cape.

I actually really like the look of the troll cape with the wolf chest as it looks like the fur from the wolf chest becomes like a top neck part of the cape. Gives it a royal looking touch.

Lox is the best cloak.

Sadly, the newer ones using threads don't protect from cold. Like what are the devs thinking?. They give NOTHING, not even freaking armor that is better then the silver cloaks.

Wolf cloak would be best if it didn't have a stupid head on the shoulder (not my style, im saying).

And why is there no werewolf cloak, cause that would clearly be the winner (or white wolf cloak). I mean, werewolf cloak would be harder to farm.

Well if you use the wolf chest as part of your standard outfit then you don't need the cold protection from the cape so you can go with linen and pick out a color for it. I went with the blue one. But when I do feel the need to wear padded (I almost never do; don't care for the look) I wear a lox cape.

Tbh, all capes have the same durability, but so far the Lox and the Wolf cape stand out more because of the buff they have against the cold, but personally, i prefer the Wolf cape, it looks a lot comfier and neat to look at as for the Lox one looks itchy, but to each their own. Everyone complaining cause of the extra head lmao. It's kinda viking like tbh, nothing wrong with it.

I pretty much roll everywhere in full troll armor, including the plains now, since there is zero movement penalty. But I keep the Lox cap in the inventory to avoid the freezing penalty

Switched back to Lox from Linen. I like the "superhero" style of the linen cloaks, but wearing
Lox is more convenient. You can still visit the mountains without worrying about freeze damage & not having to carry around gallons of the antifreeze juice.
