The tallest mountain peak. How?
How do i find easily the tallest mountain peaks on the map? Can be done with the valheim map world. Cant see an option for this. Any ideas? I mean peaks above clouds for example.

Yeah, the tallest mountains will be the same each time. If you can recognize the shapes of the land masses around it, you will know if a given seed has one of them on it. Do a web search for Valheim master map and look at the images. Though the pictures I saw weren't really big enough for me to get a real good look at those spots.

It looks like three of the tall ones are in the north of the master map. I wonder if "Polaris" (the tallest one) is still accessible after the sea level changes leading to Ashlands. It looks like "Hook" can be found by looking for the two circular lakes on the islands below it.

As I mentioned in that thread, the low altitude coastlines might vary somewhat from one seed to another, but the mountain ranges will always be the same.

You can use the the map generator app to see your seed. Tall mountains are usually the larger areas of mountain, although not always.

Well, find large biomes on the map and use creative flight mode to find the tallest one

I even took part in that discussion. Do mean the fact that the peak would always be in the same in relation to the rest of the terrain map and i just need to basically find where my center of the world is in relation to that?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you. I managed to find my bearings and basically be able to now know where each peak is. Not easy but certain big characteristic landmasses give good hint. Most helpful, thank you.

The codex seed map is on my profile..
On one version of it there is flavor text describing the three highest peaks. I think two of them go above the cloud line/layer. And one just meets it. One has a duel peak I think, with an adjoining valley. Good Luck! They won't appear on every map, however. Your best indication would be to look for the same island shape. Unless it is cut by some other biome it should be the 'same' everywhere.

Yeah thanks. I got it, managed to work out a proper routine to find those tall peaks.
