Actually a very good point, sir =) I am so used to chest not stacking that I never thought of that. =)
I actually found one odd weathered floor tile on the ground floor my base. I will investigate. You might be on to something. Must be a bug surely?
Edit: Indeed. Looking more closely, all blocks, even beds and such is taking damage when it rains even if it is under roof, and several floors.
Definitely a bug that needs reporting, then.
Biggest reason to use them, is that they can hold the same as a normal chest, but take up only half the space.
When you say "normal chest", do you mean the small chest?
That's right up there with not being able to smith chain.
