Is this game really releasing in Jan 2025?

I bought this game 2 years ago, and I wanted to play it only when completed. Is it really releasing in few months?

Where did you get that info from? Personally i seriously doubt it will. Maybe Jan 2026? I mean, there is no spite here it's just how long it takes em to release a new biome and the ashlands just came out.
It would be awesome but i somehow find it hard to believe.

- Pre-Production of the Deep North. (so not even "making it" yet)
- Production of Deep North. (making it for real)
- Revisting all previous biomes to add / remove / change /tweak things.
- Polishing / Optimization (PC + Console)
- Bug fixing (PC + Console)

End of Next Year, early 26, best case scenario imo.

Where? The only release date I see on the store page is the 2021 "release date" for Early Access.

It’s a pretty safe bet to say that Valheim will be in active development for at least another two years (counting from January 2023). That was in Jan 2023. A long time ago and it's been said "AT LEAST" not perfectly 2 years to a day.
All in all outdated and taken too strictly. It's like thinking that soon(tm) really means soon instead of "likely within our lifetime".

Chances of Valheim being 1.0, basically the deep north releasing, by the end of Jan 2025 are zero. None, whatsoever. It's taken them what? 1,5 year for the Ashlands? Expect at the very least the same for deep north. Since it's the last planned biome likely more cos it's a finishing touch to the core of the game.
Like i said, add another year to that and it becomes quite likely.

It's worth checking out their talk from March on GDC (I think?) to see their perspective. They just want to make the best game they can and due to huge sales they are in comfortable situation, they don't have to push for release. They also believe in work-life balance (nordics) because they believe people that are not stressed make better games, so they have holidays, 7-hour workday and so on. So for them (if it means better game) it's not a big problem to release couple months or maybe even years later, especially since they can still add small patches like the one that's coming.

I would estimate that the release might be in the spring of 2025. Possibly in June. This is the last biome, so the devs don't have to do any more planning towards the next stage. All that's left is editing and balancing the existing biomes to make the whole thing work.
