How to make a tamed boar follow you!

He began to breed pigs far from home. I want to build pens for pigs near the house, and transport the pigs to new pens. How do I get the tamed pigs to follow me?

It's a real pain. Here's what you gotto do.

1. build the new pen where you want it.
   
   
2. create a path between the old pen and the new pen using the hoe (this is mainly to help with step 3)
   
   
3. line both sides of the path with fence
   
   
4. open the pen to give your boar access to the path
   
   
5. pull out a torch and chase your boars down the path
   
   
6. when they're in the new pen you can close it off and you're done

not everyone realises immediately there are "starred" animals, seen a lot of threads of people breeding no star pigs.

They look like pigs but they breed like rabbits.

I started with 2, gave them a fairly big area and in what seemed like the blink of an eye I had 20. I culled them (left 2 (big mistake)), went and processed the meat and dog my cat if there wasn't already another 20 in the pen. Another culling this time only leaving 1 for nostalgia. After processing the meat as I live and breath there's another 20. I think I saw a new star in the sky that night or maybe it was pregnant.

Now I don't have any rabbitpigs.

Seriously though they do breed very quickly.

They don't seem to take any damage from the harpoon. Just dragged a few into a pit. The only one that took damage was one I let drop from the top and the fall damage hurt them. Dragging them down then releasing them did no damage to a 0 star.

thats weird, i tried it on a no star pig and it popped into a blood cloud lol

Feed them with raspberries till the send you love hearts. Get 2 and they breed. go bacl and pat them occasionally they love you lol

very strange. I run totally vanilla here. My spear skill is 0, not that I thought it would matter but who knows ha ha

If you're going far, herding them onto a boat is possible by pushing them onto a raised jetty and removing the floor panel.

I tested this out. With my toon that has spears on 2 I do half damage. I think it depends on the skill level and if they have not changed that, a harpoon is considered a spear.

Maybe the harpoon should do *less* damage at higher skill levels. As-is it becomes less useful the more you use it :D

I'm trying to harpoon pigs and it's not working. Many posts say to switch to PVP. Where do I do that? I am playing solo.
