Best way to kill wraiths ?
Got 2 times killed now, i cannot run since they fly and are always near me. So when they are close to me what would be good ? I don't have iron yet, wearing troll armor lvl 3. Should i use bronze shield and mace ?
Or what about the atgeir special attack that staggers all, are they staggered too by it ?

Help would be nice, the blobs and draugr are handable but wraiths are still a big problem.

Same thing you do to nearly any mob. Parry and counter.

Because, Atgeir is my favorite weapon, is it parrying good enough, what would you say ?

Yah, you should be able to parry them with an atgeir. Most 2h weapons have a decent-enough block force & armor that you'll stagger your enemy with a parry.

Also, stagger is based on your max health. So eat some good health foods so enemies won't break through your guard.

The timing to parry a wraith isn't too difficult I find. If I'm not careful they can sneak up on me though, pretty quiet unlike a lot of other enemies. You can spot the light they give off but if you're running around the swamp at night it's best to check your back frequently. Especially since if you see them ahead of time range weapons come into play.

They only appear at night, so you should run away, teleport to sleep. Chains are in crypts so you dont need to engage those until your stronger

Bronze buckler should parry them easily as long as you eat biome-appropriate food.
Though you can also dodge all their attacks just by strafe-walking in a circle around them if your food buffs are low.

Wraiths hit hard. But if you have swamp food (sausages and such) you should be easily able to block them. Even with top tier black forest food it should work, as long as you got a decent shield.

Thanks for all the replies ! Yes, the main problem was they were sneaking up on me, or better said i were not careful enough;)..i will eat very good then and use my atgeir more for parry then.
Is my block skill helping when i parry with the atgeir at all ?

You should be ok with your Ategir and good food. The wraiths have really good hearing and are generally high up in the trees or out of sight and then when you make noise they descend on you so if you start seeing a bluish glow get ready for a parry or block and take them out. Often they can add in on fights with other mobs. They do also appear during the day around ruins in some circumstances but that's rare.

Ahh yes, i chopped a tree in the swamp for ancient bark, then draugr appeared and then a wraith also came down on me, suddenly it was there. I was pretty uncautious i guess

Aye, your block skill informs the parry on 2h weapons; I've had block skill increases from parrying with atgeirs and battleaxes before - even the magical staves later on.

Only 2h weapons you probably shouldn't attempt blocks with are bows/crossbows.

Also your atgeir spin attack knocks them back. Stamina management and timing it crrectly, they will never get close enough to hit you. If they sneak up on you thats a whole different story. If you can get a quick spin off it will even knock them back if they are behind you since the spin is a 360 degree attack.

A stamina potion in these situations works wonders.

Maybe sleep at night until you have enough iron and better food? I have a swamp base in one world where a wraith appear like clockwork every night. Nice chain factory. If I don't feel like clobbering it, I just go home and sleep.

Bronze Atgeir will handle them easily enough, special attack into stabbing. If you are confident enough, I believe you can keep a wraith at bay by poking it and backing up.
