Holy Nightmare Batman!

I'm not quite a master of the Ashland's but I have little to no problem if I get a couple of charred + askvin + fallen Valkyrie. It takes patience and awareness to avoid getting stuck on a rock or something.

However I was roaming back towards a fortress I found while scouting and I came across a small building with a few soldiers guarding it. Ok, no problem! Let's investigate it.... Holy crap! They're ALL 2*'s and there's a bunch, and a warlock!
I'm usually doing decent damage but not here! Try to bail out and THEN I get more ads, a couple askvin and a Valkyrie.

So now it's a long corpse run and I'm humbled enough that I'm unsure if I can even survive the corpse run even with Eikthyr power. Random normal Ashland mobs arent that hard but holy crap this encounter was monstrous!!

Not complaining, just really really surprised to learn how weak I am when I thought I was strong, hehhehe

A small building? Could you give a screenshot? You obviously know about citadels so this isn't that and the only other places I've come across with that much coverage is Fader's place and spawners at night.

Indeed my map automatically labeled it "? Mysterious location". Now that I'm trying to get my corpse. I'll try to get a pic AFTER I get my corpse. So far I've only managed to pile up skull and crossbones on the map here. Even taking one second to take a snapshot = death here.
Weird because Ive been able to wander and scout across large areas 90 % of the time without risk of dying.

But this spot is something else!

Thanks for sharing. I never actually found the mysterious spots and it would be nice to have a pic of what they look like. Good luck with the body retrieval! Would dead Trolls help?

Well I finally cleared it and destroyed the stone generating more of them. But it was a nightmare. Worse yet, I discovered something inside but it seems ill need to find more of these to finish using whatever this is.
