Any "easier" way to find bees?
I have really looked in a lot of places, found dozens of huts and only one beehive so far, made the first beehive at home and it´s not producing much. One a day?

What are my options here because I am tired of looking, spent 2 hours and found nothing, just more huts.

Create a new world? go there and hope for beehives?

create a 2nd copy of your map, you know it already. Find the bees there, log out, log back in to main toon/ world drop all said items into a chest log off and possibly delete.
Trust me a second world(a copy) is a good place to experiment. If the instance isn't what you want, or whatever. Collapse it. Keep the main save for all the things you know you want to do.
Rinse.
Repeat.

Making a new world is an option yes. You can open up
http://valheim-map.world
and check only for bees if you have that much issue.
I personally have way too many bees that I stopped collecting them.

the seed reader is superb, and will highlight hives specifically for you.

just hit all the empty buildings made of wood you can find. I can't recall finding them in rock.
4-5 hives is enough for 1 person usually.

You are looking in meadows right? You won't find any in black forest ruins.

I have to agree, I've only seen them in wood buildings. I have five hives on the MP server I frequent and it's plenty. 20 every time I log on after a day or two and at least 5 nearly every time I'm away for about a game day. I have a lot in storage already. I wouldn't want less than three if I wanted a decent supply but it doesn't take that long to find three bees.

I've never found any hives outside of the meadows biome.

I have found them in wood buildings that have the swamp enemy in them. It was unclear if they were in the swamp or near it, though. Those always seem to ride the transition line between swamp and other.

My guess would be you were on the line between two biomes. I've found some areas with enemies from one biome that are on the edge of another. I think it's fairly common but I doubt anyone will regularly find hives in the middle of the swamp or black forest. Maybe they'll change this eventually, or maybe there is a low chance for it to occur now, but I haven't seen it.

I would guess you werey on the edge of the meadows. I don't think I've ever seen a hive in stone ruins before. Could it happen? Probably. I've seen enemies spawn inside rocks and trees so a hive showing up somewhere it normally doesn't spawn would not surprise me at all.

5 hives has sustained our group of 4 (and sometimes up to 6) the entire game. We still have excess honey. We live in a large fortress in the plains, and constantly use stam/hp pots as needed to avoid death.

Its annoying initially since it feels slow, but for a solo you should be just fine with 2-3 hives.

I have 5, and it way over produces for the 4 toons i manage. Also seed reader seems to indicate that beehives occur normally with in black forest biomes as well. How they present themselves I am unsure.

What is hard in exploring meadow biomes? Time consuming? Yes. Hard? No.

Note that 3-4 hives is plenty enough if you play solo.
