Fermenting takes more time than Trees growing to full height

Yeah, even I find it takes too lengthy a time to ferment a recipe.

You can build multiple fermenters.
Also since you can't accidentally leave it in too long, you can just put everything into your fermenters and forget about it while doing other things.

I made three fermenters and keep a stock of mead in a chest. If I ever use them, I just refill the chest. With this approach, the time it takes to make them isn't relevant because you'll even out based on your usage. You get a lot of mead for one batch and they'll last a while unless you are especially careless.

Plan ahead and you will be fine. 2 Fermenters at least are a must.

I have 12-14 sittin around in my base currently, works well enough that I just have them on standby when they're not pumping out stamina and tasty meads. The real problem is getting enough honey to keep up, which takes some serious bee hunting.

I had a seed with nearly no bees too. You can either serverhop and get some from another world or you just go exploring a lot.
