Help finding the world save files to migrate from in game server to dedicated server?
Wondering if anyone can help me find the files to move from a game we started in steam on one of their servers to a dedicated server? We are enjoying the game, but I don't want people to only be able to play while I am on. I saw a video that said it was two easy steps, but I can't find the world files that need to be uploaded.

Thanks.

Worlds are saved in:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim\worlds

Where USERNAME is the windows user name.

All worlds have two associated files. one .fwl and one .db file.

That is what I see in the video I'm trying to use. Does this change if I have multiple hard drives running? My games are all on an H: drive.

The USERS folder should be on your primary system drive, whichever that is. The one that windows is installed on. If it's the H: drive, the folder should be on there. You should have a USERS folder on one of the drives.

Thank you. (I need to make a new build and not take any old drives when I make it...)
Windows is on C still. Can't seem to find something called AppData. Am I doing something stupid/missing something?

Hmm it may be a hidden/system file. Not certain. But by default windows hides certain system files and directories.

If so, this page shows how to unhide them.

Had to go into options and have it show hidden folders to find AppData???
Read my mind. :)

Thanks.

Goodluck!
Worked I think!

Was thinking of moving my SP game to a dedicated local server. Can anyone confirm that the same process would work for that, or do I need to do additional steps to get it across?
I thought I followed all of the steps. Something didn't quite work, but ping perfect finished whatever I haven't quite setup correctly. No issues since.
