How do you keep your karve from floating away?

I'm afraid it might kill itself if I beach it like the raft did and there is no anchor that I can see to activate.

If you beach it, you can walk against it to push it back in. I find little calm areas in low water to park it. SOme make a full dock

Just stop it and put it in as much of an alcove as you can. I've never had a boat go away that wasnt broken in 200+ hrs

Break the boat and put the mats in a chest by the shore. You can even store the workbench mats there.

The boat will retain any momentum it had and react to wind if you keep the sail up, in my experience - Bring it to as much of a stop as you can and make sure you center the controls (Both rotational and forward/backward).

Doing this, I've yet to have an issue with my boat floating away or doing weird things.
