I don't trust the developers
I honestly think these small patches and always having something broken from a patch is to keep the modding community always updating. They just want your mods to break so you play vanilla. Modders made the game good and they're triggered.

This might be more realistic for a large corporate gaming company that's trying to sell dlc or something, but these devs are a small group of long time game enthusiasts, so I don't think they care that much about modding. In fact, if what you're saying is true, then they have every incentive to encourage modding so more people will buy and play the game.

Gotta love a good conspiracy theory

I'm one of the % that can't play this game vanilla. I enjoy the experience with mods. Every time a patch comes out, mods get broken. Long process to wait for updates on mods. The discussion about workshop has been brought up many times. Life can be so much easier if there was a workshop.

Every time a person is taught to critically think a conspiracy theory dies.

You must lobby your modders not Iron Gate. This is Early Access, and they want to finish the game first prior to adding mod support to finished code. Adding official mod support now, will seriously slow down the development cycle as much much more testing will be required at every stage.
The tin-foil hat can be removed safely as this is all perfectly normal, modders will have to adapt and users have to wait.

There is also a mass of posts stating "the game will not launch" without stating how to replicate the process and any relevant information what-so-ever that will help the devs fix the problem quickly.

e.g.
Version no, server/solo/modlist/steps to recreate / issue start date
and so on. Help the devs to help you rather than spamming the boards and acting like Chicken Licken.

You know why mods break everytime there is an update? Because they are not supported.

Even with Steam Workshop mods would break after updates. It doesn’t magically update mods to make them compatible with the latest game version.

If you have any constructive criticism or further questions, please let us know.

Welcome to every single mod for every single game ever released in Early Access. This is normal, updates will break mods for games that have full releases as well. Take a look at any Bethesda game. If you are modding a file, and that file changes, that mod is not correct anymore. This should be very simple for anyone to figure out.

Thats not always the case but its ridiculous to say you don't trust developers for something thats normal and happens all the time.

Even released games with excellent mod support can't maintain backward compatibility when an update/patch is deployed. This is a stupid level of expectation for an EA game.

This is flat out conspiracy lunacy territory.

Yeah. That's how modding and updates work. They fix a problem, Modders have to update their code. There's nothing new about this.

Unfortunately critical thinking emerges somewhere around IQ 115. Even sadder, 60% of the population falls below this threshold.

Yup. Some people have a curious desire to think ill of others.

Gotta enjoy the blatantly unaware accusation of "the devs are triggered by modders"

At the least it shows other than seeing a logo when starting the game, not one second was spent researching into Iron Gate (their latest fireside chat Richard and Robin both doted over some mods they think are cool)

At the most it shows a person who can't work out what the word triggered means, nor the fact that it is better suited to describing them. :claugh:
