Valheim Sausage
Hi
I had a break from valheim for six months and now when I started playing again I came to the point where I wanted to make sausage and my question is whether they removed it, changed the recipe or whatever because I have the items to create it and it does not show me the recipe for it I have no idea why .

To do this, you need to upgrade the forges?

No, the cauldron needs the second level upgrade

you need the spice rack, which needs carrot, turnips, mushrooms, thistle and dandelions

You need a spice weasel.

He who controls the spice, controls the sausage

Similar to workbenches and forges, the cauldron now requires specific structure upgrades in the vicinity to make the higher tier foods. For the Sausages, as mentioned, you need to make the spice rack. If you do not have that recipe in your build options using the hammer, then you still lack an ingredient. In this case, it’s likely turnips. You don’t need turnips to make sausages, but you do need turnips to make the cauldron upgrade that unlocks them. There’s three different upgrades total, each unlocking the next set of recipes.

You also can’t cook all meats on the standard cooking apparatus over a campfire anymore. There’s a new iron cooking station for the hefty meats like Serpent.

As our companions said, in order to make those sausages you need to upgrade your cauldron with a spice rack as there are now levels to cooking. Just as we already had with the workbench and the forge.

However, with this you now have a few more cooking recipes to try out, so go on, head on over to the crafting section of the building menu, look up your new options and start making those viking tastebuds jump for joy again.

Usually, we have sausages the likes of which even Odin have never seen.

Note- the spice rack has to be hung from something, it doesnt just go on the wall. But putting a protruding 1m beam somewhere to hang it from works fine if you cant find an existing beam or ceiling spot you like. Like the workbench and forge, the cauldron upgrades have to be in range of the cauldron to be placed.

That placement follows no real world rules and was one of my most frustrating lessons in Valheim ( that and pushing tamed boars around lol).

I agree. Not sure why they have to be so close to each other. Some range limit I can understand, but this is way too much IMHO.
