Putrid holes ?

I made 2 worlds post ashlands update, none of the caves contain a morgen, even at first visit.

Am i missing something ?

I find they spawn late, typically after you mine one of the gooey piles on the edges.

No need to disturb anything. Just walk around the cave for 10 seconds or so. Also, I find that the mist sword and shield work best here. It struggles to turn around so once you parry just keep hitting it from its side.

Well, the first week of ashland official release i found a morgen in every new cave . After a while zero in any cave .

I still explore most caves i see for extra soft tissue, so i smash everything in there, grabbing metals too . takes about a min or 2.

I've never installed mods in this, wondering wtf i don't see any . I'm thinking about a major glitch or something i miss, in case anyone else have this issue. The way of fighting them is not a concern as i use staffs of the wild and frost
