Lingering Health mead vs Major healing mead
How to ya'll use these two meads? Is the lingering health mead better?

I actually would like the answer to this as well. I've crafted and tried both and now only use MH since it seems to help me better out of sticky situations. Maybe there is something I'm missing? (As I often do).

I don't think that Health regen mead is the best in game for health, it is true that it has potential to heal the most HP from all the meads , but the difference vs. Major Healing potion is miniscule ( and you need to be regenerating HP whole time - 5min ) and the downside of it that you can't heal when in trouble is in my opinion really bad.

Lingering Healt Mead: ( assume 18 HP regen from foood means ) 25%= 4,5 HP extra per tick which is every 10s over 5min = 135 HP vs Major Healing mead = 125

I think its used after a fight if your very low, want to be full hp for the next fight which may come soon, and don't want to use a MH mead. But you will either get into a fight before you're at full, or it may be some time in which case you would be better off just building a campfire and resting for a second. Its honestly not worth the inventory slot rn and needs a buff.

Imho lingering health mead is meh. Hp regen seems negligeble compared to healing mead which can save your ass. Im using lingering staming and eitr tho.

The downside of MH mead is that it needs royal jelly, which you almost only get from the infested mines in mistlands. So at some point you will have to choose if you go back to the mistlands and look for the mines or go with LH mead and be careful with dangerous fights (i.e. retreat in time).

I also think that the LH mead needs either a buff to heal more or even better - make the interval smaller, so you don't have to wait 10 seconds for the next little bit of healing. 10 seconds can be a long time in combat.

I would use the Lingering Mead before going in to a hard fight, this way the potions cool-down will end in time to use a Health Potion. I think the duration of the Lingering Mead last longer than the cool-down.
The Lingering won't save you unless you can run away for a while.

HP potions are in a weird place.
Havent play normal difficulty in ages, only hardest enemies with highest raid, where the potions are a lot more useful.

BUT
Small health pot is kinda mehh, medium is good from swamp up until mistland where it is just too damn week.
Major heal is expensive if you or your friends are playing caster and also not worth it because 125 HP is just a bit more than half your HP pool if you are going for melee build.

Lingering Heal is just too weak as well due to the low tick rate.

Lingering stamina and eitr are super awesome and kinda must have once you hit Ashland.
Those were implemented nicely.

Sadly HP pots are a niche that only really viable mid game.

Personally, since the higher tier meads are very...lacklustre, as has been detailed by others, I tend to only use the MH, and only in an absolute pinch. I play a Melee build, so I'm running around the Ashlands with 200+ HP. They're just strong enough to keep me alive long enough to get my bearings.

Great question, i have an answer. Lingering Health is great if you have to jump into the water and have minimal stamina for some odd reason this can happen.

Otherwise MH is always good.

10 honey, 4 bloodbag, 10 rasberries, 1 dandelion. Are we talking about the same medium health here?

MH being Major health but also MH being Medium health makes things confusing

Ahh! That explains.

Depends on how often you get hit.
If you're a tank build with high hp regen and just need something to heal scratch damage getting through your blocks LH is the way to go, but if you need an oh-♥♥♥♥ button for when you mess up it won't help you much.

Eating biome-appropriate hp food is usually enough for that though unless you're skimping on gear upgrades.
I usually don't carry any healing meads except for boss fights and then it's LH just for that little extra boost. Otherwise i just use lingering eitr and stam.
