I just keep going back to Ashlands vine ruins to get more if I need them now, faster that way. Even better with resource multipliers cranked up to 3x.
This has been an excellent suggestion from a lot of players since Ashlands came out.
Per the wiki[valheim.fandom.com] they have a very slow growth rate but the seeds are pretty prolific and I populated the walls of my asksvin breeding pen (currently only 0-star) so I can have their food readily available and still have a little left over for pies.

Planting in bulk does seem to help.
To be fair I have not checked it recently.
Noticed that the planted berries seem to despawn randomly with no interactions. Logged in to 3 berries ready to harvest so I left them and was checking back and noticed only 1 was still there, 2 had disappeared with no evidence of loot or any outside interactions...
Something is definately happening...
It works like elsewhere, you have to be there for stuff to happen so sleeping where your berries grow is a must and they do grow better in Ashlands. (Just my observation)
Always!
