Too much gold?

I cleared a ton of burial grounds and troll caves. Mainland, island after island. Had to make stacks of chests back home to store stacks of amber,gems,etc.
Finally stumbled on Haldor AND hildir on the same island and not far apart.
I bought 1 of everything after selling all my treasures and I still have over 2000 gold still in my chests. I even bought 2 stacks of hildirs fire pits to adorn my various wood structures across the world.
But, is there anything else to spend this gold on? More fishing bait?

Further items will be unlocked at the traders as you progress in the game. You'll have a use for that money.

Other than that, you can also use it to craft piles of money to decorate your base.

And even for those who have completed the current set of biomes, Haldor and Hilder may have new wares in the coming updates. My gold isn't going into the obliterator just yet.

i spend my gold on dvergr circlets to light up my base without killing my fps.

or smelt it into bars for a throne, fixtures and other adornments some chalices, it would be cool to expand the trade system somehwat to include ability to sell things like trophies resources, food, potions, weapons, mats, everything i guess for and be able to buy other things imo anyway

Spend your real life gold on a computer from this century. I've never seen any performance issues with lighting in this game.
