Otherwise, I am already sitting on more cores than I really need. They are not hard to find and relatively plentiful. I suppose this is a bug, but I am not sure whether it is all that relevant.
So far, I have noticed you can't use the small portal end again with metal, but I think this still limits gameplay as you don't need to upgrade or replace the other side outpost most of the times or ferry a stonecutter to build it (depending on the situation). Idk if it's a bug.

I also have like 2 stacks of cores. It is a bit weird that you get them both in the hole and the fortresses too, especially since fortresses are the main progression part. Makes the holes a bit meh after getting your first portal resources. At least they can be nice for Eitr users but.. most will probably have enough Eitr around from waiting for the Ashlands patch. Probably useful for some new characters though.
