Yall playing with mods or just plain vanilla ?
Seeing that many of the biggest mods on Nexus are dead for a long time (many even since 2022) yall plain just vanilla version ?

Another question, is nexus still the place to get mods or is there any other place ?
Nexus modding scene seems to be almost dead, at least for big mods

I play with mod to plant to grid, harvest area and plant berry bushes. Other than that, vanilla.

Mods have some HUGE QoL to them which is a huge bummer the devs won't implement any of them. Building/crafting from nearby boxes, finished goods going into boxes, grid for planting, better pathing/collision mechanics for carts, carts drawn by lox, etc.... To me the QoL is important in a game like this but mods that make the game play easier are just cheating so I avoid those. I'm hoping ashlands just incorporates some of the QoL mods since it's the next big update

I use the Plant Easily mod. It's the only mod I consider mandatory for the game. If you're like me, and you have even the slightest tendency to get annoyed if your plants aren't lined up just right or if you accidentally plant two crops too close together so they end up dying, and the slightest desire to optimize your use of space when planting; the combination of that, how much slower it is in vanilla, and the fact that you have to plant and harvest thousands of crops over the course of the game will drive you insane and make you hate farming. Plant Easily removes that pain point entirely and feels to me how planting crops should be in the game by default.

never found a valid reason to use mods. partly a purist and masochist maybe. if things are that bad I'll play something else.

modding a game is infinite. Most important settings are in modifiers or via console, suffice to me, lol

it also depends what you expect in a game. I'll adapt or switch. Tried mods along the years with good friends in older games

Yeah, used a few major QoL mods, UI, Valheim plus, % for crafting, Building QoL etc. Almost all of them havent been updated since 2022...

I use thunderstone and a few QOL mods (within one, which forces me to eat, as I otherwise starve slowly), but all in all, its quite low, so I could potentially go back to vanilla all the time.

There are a couple of mods that are a must in this game (for me anyway). I especially love the CreaturelevelandlootControl mod, because the vanilla difficulty is a little bit ♥♥♥♥.

Check thunderstore, there are some mods that are on thunderstore but not on nexusmods.

I use some mods, mostly QoL stuff- torches eternal, mass farming, plant everything, better wisplights, use Equipment in water, equipment and quickslots are the main ones. Also a clock mod if there's a working one. (They break frequently, or rather break other stuff frequently)

Vanilla all the way, got too much time and tears invested to risk it

Tried both and came back to vanilla. Not because mods are bad, but because i can't be bothered to look for/install/manage/fix/... any longer. Game is edible enough without all that jazz.

Oh I didnt know there was a world modifier now ! One of the reasons i used mods was to increase the resources a little and allow to teleport them. thanks for the tip !
