Grave and boss disappeared

Firstly I'm not playing the beta of Ashlands.
I just died while fighting the fifth boss. My game was interrupted. I restarted the game and I wanted to reclaim my stuff from the grave. But their is no grave and the boss disappeared. Is their a way to go to an earlier saved file?

Edit: I could recover a back-up.
