Depends on how much charred food you made. This game has a stupid percentage depending on which item from which biome you got it from will determine which raid will trigger that includes types of items, boss kills, enemies kill, and where you place your stuff.
Not one charred food, got no item from the swamp, even no item from the dark forest, as i said, just started the world new
Normally you unlock the raids with the killed bosses and killed enemies, but i didnt kill anything besides boars, deers and greylings

Post it on the discord as it sounds like a possible bug? You will get more response then on the steam fora.
Highest difficulty should spawn in more difficult stuff but not like this, tho the devs can confirm perhaps

did you bring anything with you into the new world? or was it a clean slate?

post a picture of your world settings.

solo world or coop`?

local or server`?

mods?
No, didn't bring anything into the new world, clean slate
Don't know how to post pictures here, i will post it in dc

Afaik you don't need to kill the Spawn Trigger, it just has to die. So if for whatever reason, like wolves going into other biome, a trigger creature dies it is used as trigger so the event may happen from there on. But surtlingsraid is surtlings+bonemass, so idk.

The active area of the program is 96 meters. If he's only been in the meadows and hasn't even gotten within 96 tiles of black forest he would not have been able to even accidentally trigger a high level raid.

Did you start with a new character or an old one? You can choose character based raids in the world modifier, so the raids will follow you in a new world if that is the case.

The highest difficulty in everything? Did Valheim add difficulty options since I last played? Guess I better boot it up and find out.

char was completly new as same as the world was, thanks to all your replys, i got the answer in the official valheim discord, it's a known bug:
"If you kill an enemy with one character, the character key that is responsible for storing that you defeated a surtling, doesn't get saves immediately, rather after logout and stays in cache, so if you start another character that key will also transfer to them, and if you start a world with player based modifer, you can immediately get the raid."
player based raids modifier was enabled

Oh that's very strange save logic, fortunately you can use dev commands to set and reset those keys directly. Seriously though why would they code something to do that?
uNd3rGrOuNdF1GhT3R May 14, 2024 @ 12:27pm
Yeah you can use the commands or simply close and start the game again to reset the cached key
