2 star Asksvin

What's the chance of encountering a 2* Asksvin? I couldn't see even one of them since the public test released..

I didn't either until I zoned into the Ashlands at night and explored. Took 2 or 3 nights at most. Watch out though--they hit hard!

if it follows the same pattern as previous biomes, then an Asksvin at night has a 1% chance of being a 2 star one. At least this number seems to match my experience with getting one.

they are around, but the issue is you really need a pit to capture and tame, but you may not have a pit where you find one.

So I have a question I’m not messing with the public test and I’m not trying to get spoiled on a lot of the new stuff.

But can you breed them outside of the Ashlands?

you can breed them anywhere. and here is the major advantages of this one :

items used in endgame health food recipes? yes.
2 star tameable? yes.
rideable ? yes.
lays eggs you can teleport everywhere? yes.
can egg hatched ones have stars? yes.

oh an a 2 star has TEN TIMES the health of a 2 star wolf.

all others tames are now obsolete. aside chickens for the feathers maybe. thier meat is... useless now. devs didnt use it again at all. a shame.

2 stars wolves were appearing more when I compare to asksvins. or more frequent. Can it be a location that they spawned more frequent or crowded? such as, near a boss area, dvergr houses etc. I'm just thinking out loud..

I think that wolves are the most common enemy type in the mountains, so you encounter them more compared to asksvins. I made my trap inside a conquered fortress, that I noticed had quite a few asksvins spawn in the area. Almost no enemies around to bother while I was waiting for the taming process.
