Fine wood in Ashlands?

Portal require fine wood. We had our portal destroyed and I believe the fine wood turned to coal from fire by enemies or maybe from the boiling water beneath. We did a little search for fine wood but found none. Had we not had our ship nearby to destroy and salvage the fine wood from that, we would've been stranded.

Not a complaint. Just something to ponder - should there be a way to salvage materials for a normal portal in Ashlands? Maybe the new portal is an answer, but that would require you having built one already, right?

Spoiler: Raid Dverger encampments where you can pick up a few pieces of fine wood from their furniture.

EDIT: I just checked and you get one from their protection rune, 1 from a piece of furniture and 1 from something else I couldn't place as I kinda destroyed the place lol.

Still, it's possible to salvage mats for a normal portal by outright going full berzerker on the dverger. 3 fine + 1 core + 1 greyling eye per encampment.
