but it's better than thunder stone, which adds only 10 electrical damage.

the thunder stone has a hidden side effect : it can proc chain lighting on hits randomly. try it. it can arc to other targets.

that beeing said : none of the new effects are good. they are all very weak right now. hopefully its testing values and theyll buff em up later.

the blood one requires you to be half health to notice anything vs enemies which resist phys dmg which ashlands has alot of running around. thats not a risk worth takeing given the incomeing dmg can quickly end you in such a case.

bloodstone sucks outright. lightning is the only good one currently. poisen can have SOME usefulness on ranged weapons but only if the root effect procs.

or fire if you can find the materials and the miniboss to make the firesword dynwyrn. that sword looks the coolest of all the new weapons due to its effect. be warned : that miniboss does elemental dmg. he can have stars and hits like a truck even on defaults.

Wow, interesting, thanks. Regarding electric weapons, despite the possibility of chain lightning, the damage still remains negligible. In addition, if you use a two-handed weapon, with initially high damage, in addition, with a two-handed weapon you will rarely have full health, then the damage, in principle, will be increased quite well. Is the information that elemental damage will be increased reliable? And can you tell me where to find this miniboss?

the miniboss has its own location. youll find it eventually. its random depending on your map seed so cannot answer where it is on your map. keep looking :)

the damge IS neglible currently of the effects. which is why i hope its beta values to be changed soon. as if they stay like this they dont feel like actual upgrades to me. if these are final numbers ashlands weapons are a massive letdown gameplay wise. plus the lighting sword looks so terrible i hate it. atleast the firesword looks cool despite beeing super weak statwise compared to mistwalker.

that "information" is a guess by me personally. these values just make no sense and them beeing the same for ALL weapons despite different speeds on weapons and beeing 3 times higher on the dual axes makes balance wise absolutly no logical sense simply.

but given the new metal teleport on default thing i dont even know anymore with these devs. this update is all over the place almost like they have some internal quarrel over what to do and how and slap everything together which leads to these oddities.

Your words make sense, thanks for the clarification.

There is no enemy in Ashlands that resists all types of phys damage afaik. And you can deal with the health issue by using the staff of protection.

Which you'll likely do anyway because unless you're wearing heavy armor most starred enemies oneshot you without it, so the difference between full and half health is pretty negligible for ranged and mage builds.
(and it's the best option for lowering your health safely)

So while i wouldn't put it on a sword it's actually pretty powerful on bow and crossbow.

More importantly though the stones are also used for the Trollstav and Dungr (which is a much better use for them).
