Playable. Extremely grindy. Play with no portal restrictions and 1.5-2x resources and it will be fun.

for YOU.

as for for the tc :

this game is totally playable and beatable in solo on default settings. you need some grinding tolerance AND way more importantly : you need PATIENCE above all else. valheim is a game where the gogogo mentality WILL kill you sooner or later. its a game thats supposed to be taken slowly and tactical. get overwhelmed? RUN AND BOOK IT.

this game is also a sandbox. so dont expect quests or stroytelling much. there is some lore and stones to read and thats about it.
base building is pretty much required. and bases have a use and purpose unlike most survival games.

if this sounds like something youll like get it. high chance you get addicted.

if you dislike what i just said this game is definitly not for you.

Best way to play this game is going solo on default server settings. Don't read any guides, watch any videos, etc. Discover everything on your own.

iv'e done nothing but solo (1200hrs+) and it was always totally fine, and now there are world modifiers so things are even better. play it straight up for as long as you can to get the feel of the game. this is the only way to really understand just what an impact the modifiers can have on the overall experience.
my biggest tip for you is to stay fed. food is super important in this game.

Its fun to play both solo and in multiplayer.

Totally playable solo. Most of my game time IS solo. I will say it can be pretty grindy. At the very least I personally use the modifiers to remove portal restrictions. But you can play purely vanilla on default settings and still enjoy the game IF its gameplay loop is something you enjoy.

That said, don't deny yourself the chance to play multiplayer if you've got others willing to play. The two expereiences, personally speaking, are pretty different and you kinda discover what you enjoy most about the game when others are there to take care of things you don't personally like spending time on.

"Valheim" is a great game to play with a friend or two. Playing this alone is just a way to kill time and build sand castles; pretty pointless structure.

I've played thousands of hours solo, great fun, best hobby/pastime in a long while.

Im new in the game and playing solo, it's very good, i just changed the base raids, because i dont want to waste more time building stuff that i builded because some mobs attack my base, i don't like the hordes and tower defenses, but it's just personal preferences.

It's slower (im new in the game, so it's more slower) but it's really fun, with people is just faster and easier, no more

playing solo is awesome but world modifiers helped me a lot.
I use the game wiki and vids on yt because for my poor brain some stuff is kinda hard to figure out (looking at you, spice-rack... :D)
