but they seem to like to waste designs in generel as can be seen in ashlands. so not really a big suprise.
atleast chickens still have the use of featherbanks. so worth to keep around. unlike the first 3 tames. the new one makes all 3 obsolete at once.
Chicken is a bit weird that it is only used in 1 + 0.5 recipe (cooked chicken meat is pretty weak by the time you get it, funny enogh it is almost twice as powerful as deer.meat...)
Definitally need more food options that use chicken meat.
Boar meat becomes useless by mountain, wolf meat is pretty much used in the mountain and the plains, lox is purely for mistland meat platter as the plians recipes are attoriously overpriced (2 lox meat for a single pie?)
Same goes for fishing, by the time you can fish efficiently, it becomes kinda useless, only using some fish wrap on plains, but not too much.
In that department Ashland did brilliantly with the lots of food alternatives be it health, stamina or eitr catergory.
Basically need another hearths and home update to revamp the food options to make more alternatives in previous biomes to utilize them more.
But other things like the miniboss trophies, nothing is done with them as far as i'm aware, which they could easily be as they've already done it in the game with elite draugr trophy making a unique weapon.
The one i think i bring most up is how nothing in mistlands is really designed with the mist in mind, i mean they added literal anglerfish, who attract prey (the player) in the darkness (mist) to get close and then attack their prey. I've not a clue how that idea did not cross their mind, not to mention that mistlands is bug themed, and could've had an antlion/anglerfish type enemy.
Imagine how many cool or interesting ideas they would get if they talked to their community and asked for suggestions. IT IS EA AFTER ALL, LISTEN. There's so many ideas that i see suggested here and in other places, where they could easily use for inspiration. Are a lot of them perfect ? No. Did you ever look at Shrek's first design ? Yeah. I'm sure anyone who designs anything knows that you do a wide range of possible designs with exaggerated features to see what fits well, or if some could go together.
Can anyone tell me if they even reused ymir flesh for any of the new weapons ?
Whats the best set up for hens enclosure ?? Everytime i pick up eggs its the same anoying game of pushing them away, hard to do in corners

looks good , need an outer cage for bats
in other words., the game isn't done...
Assuming you setup farming Aspinn lizards for meat, harvest grapes that are also Aspinn food (or Smoke Puffs) and the off chance you settle near ferns like I did by kicking Dverger out of their base to build on top of their base pillars. You still are short of consistent food. This makes eggs still of value even in Ashlands as you only have a few consistent recipes which are farmable in ashlands.
Turnips:
Are very likely to be a total pain. Too rare and then there is growing them at a sustainable amount. Just how many days do the devs expect players to wait on these?. Worse when it is more players.
Onions:
Not as rare as turnips. I don't recall any meals during this time worth it. Again you can be onto the next tier: Plains and getting EASY and great meals.
Husbandry: (animals).
Is this ever worth it?. As long as you hunt while you move about it seems you don't need to bother. Of course also hunting while your out making a run for mushrooms and such (WHICH: WHY THE HELL CAN WE NOT PLANT THEM STILL). Also, by the time you got it at sustainable amounts then you should already be in the next biome getting the next tier and hopefully easier meals.
Still no two-handed swords put in for lower tiers. Armor sets should have versions for all tiers (let us dress how we want). Also frak set bonuses they even end up unbalancing.
I mean. The game just needs to be hit with a quality of life patch. Food needs a slight redesign so ingredients work for future tiers. Mistlands suddenly has use for them, but new players might have tossed or stopped growing them; imagine having to sail and search for turnips and onions again!.
The limit on chickens is just stupid at the amount current set (unless recently changed). Also, frak the stupid way food works for HP and stamina. Diminishing HP and stamina i mean from right at the start of filling out bellies even.
Guess we should be happy to finally have 2H swords. I mean, wtf was everyones problem when it was already a damn fantasy viking style. Took how long for this?, waiting on quality improvements might take some years... meanwhile a modder will do it in less then a week.
I'd use either carved dark wood dividers or the new similar ashwood walls. Place one or two, change the angle one step, repeat until you've made an N-tagon. Then you replace a few of them with a door or gate.
...Might test that tomorrow, actually. I've been using my butcher knife to get to the eggs as of lately, and it feels kinda wasteful.
