Outside, killing the last nearby mob and getting the resting buff before another hostile mob arrives can make the difference between winning and losing especially if you are still on mead cool down.
@knighttemplar1960
Playing after the gear is maxed out. No hostiles in sight, spawns disabled in a wide radius and we're focusing on gathering and using building materials. Inventory is well sorted. All that's left is to wait for the buff.
@jonnin
Just tested now, sitting doesn't affect resting time. It's a 20 seconds timer after the Wet debuff is gone. Good thinking though! Never crossed my mind.
@HamsterPants
We're aware of how Resting works. In fact, the fastest way to mine out a large ore/rock boulder is to leave it untouched and dig it out. Once it's floating, collapse it. During that digging, use the boulder itself as a roof for Resting and Rested.
@Nerevar
Sleeping is not always available. Even if it were, it's far from instant. It's just another thing to wait out before being able to play again. Like getting stunned on purpose.
