Valheim

Is yagluth a joke!?
Bruh, I didn't even get to hit yagluth, my 20, vet 2 wolf army teared it apart even before it spawned properly. Bosses are utter jokes in this game. My wolf army and I needed to do much more effort to deal with goblin camps. Btw why is there no black metal armor to be crafted in the biom where we are getting the black metal!? Am I missing something? Also, is there any other way to get into the sealed towers than making the climb by building? Looks like Get Over It in Valheim.

Isn't the wolf command cap 4? Are you using mods, devcommads or playing an older version?
Btw, Yagluth is your first real boss encounter. The previous ones are tutorials. Assuming you are doing it the normal way, you are not allowed to make a lot of mistakes at this fight as the boss keeps casting his abilities which have lasting effects and stack dmg.

Yagluth is not resistant to slash damage.

Apologies. Poor wording on my part. I meant that Yagluth[valheim.fandom.com] is not resistant to blunt as well as slash. But as others have pointed out, Yagluth is an undead king and even though the wiki does not convey this, I have best luck in melee or range engagements using silver such as Frostner, the silver sword and silver arrows.
Silver arrows are doing less damage than frost arrows on Yagluth. They are in general rather bad since their spirit damage is so small compared to their pierce damage (which Yagluth resists by 75%) and cost metal.

Frost arrows are even doing more total damage and stay relevant for the entire game and also slow, while silver arrows are not really useful by the time you get them unless you just happen to have spare silver. The biggest downside of frost arrows is their lower staggering (only 4 over wood).

Plus the drops from the casualties is a bit better. By the time you move from the Plains to the Mistlands, wolf drops are probably not as useful as lox drops - even for the latest Ashlands light armor.

Not really, their larger size is a detriment as they shove each other out of the way and limit how many can pile on at once. They also move slower. The AOEs can knock them out before Yagluth goes down. When I tried it they got him down to about 1/3 health, which did make it easier to finish him off, but it's not instant overkill like the wolves do.

Generally 1v1 fights are easy in games if you take 20-50 allies.

Ya, should have tickled the boss to death, use of any weapon is also cheese as wolves worked as my weapon, I definitely haven't had to work hard to tame a vet 2 wolf going out at night in Mountains as well as bring 2 wolves to the plain boss island via boat and then set up a base there to breed them to make an army. Definitely a cheese.

Stop antagonizing people when they say something you do not like.

op was reiterating their point sarcastically. Stay on topic.

I wonder how the OP fared against Bonemass with a wolf army... ;)

Swamp comes before Mountain, and root mask with poison resist potion along with lvl 4 iron mace made it child's play. Bosses are real jokes in this game.

Lox is slow, indecisive and takes literally million years to breed, as well as getting a vet 2 lox to breed is like near impossible. Some people always try to act oversmart. It's always better to ignore them.
I am using the wolves to deal with goblin camps, man, those goblin camps are nightmare, in past I was pulling them near tar pits, but the bigger camps where no tar pit nearby, very troublesome.

Ya, 1v1 fight, when the entity against me has like 100 times more hp, multiple times more armor, resistances as well as damage dealing capability than me. Really a true 1v1. Some of you really put aside your nervous system while commenting just for the sake of opposing. So, what about the coop? 10 people can play together. I had expected a tough boss fight as plains biom is so difficult. Moder fight was very enjoyable.

the tower contains nothing you really need before you get to mistlands tier anyway.

also there is heavy armor in plains. its just not made from black metal. its made from flax and the spinning wheel. its called padded armor.

yag is a rather easy boss if you know what youre doing. like most bosses but he doesnt even summon minions unlike others and is one of the slowest bosses in the game on top.

dont try to bring wolfs to the mistlands boss tough. youre wasteing your time sailing them over. only 1 tame can be used vs that boss.
I am yet to get the feather cape, I don't know how to get the sap without angering the dwarves, I really don't want to antagonise them. Yes, I had padded armor, but I talked about armor from black metal.

Of course swamp comes before mountains, but that didn't stop people from trying. :) And no, bosses aren't a joke in this game. Try Yagluth solo.

The mighty log cheese helps with the sealed tower if you dont want to climb.
I am not playing Get Over It in this game where my precious skill points can go to waste from falling to death. Could you explain a little bit about the said log cheese? I built stairs halfway and it's just too F boaring to build another half while the building camera is ultra garbage and I had to climb down to place 2 more WBs around the tower.

To answer your question regarding the log. It is similar how you get into crypts in a no boss run. You place the chair really close to the bars of the door of the crypt and glitch through from the sitting position and pushing through.

It is possible to glitch into the indestructible walls of the sealed tower. The log is more powerful than the chair because you need a way out. There should be a video of this method if you look up: glitching into the sealed tower.

In short you dig down a bit so you are on the level of the loot room. Can find it via sonar with the sledge or staghammer with dmgnumbers popping up of the chests. You place a log which has two places to sit so you can get out with the glitch again. Dont get yourself stuck. You can get stuck if you mess up with the placement of the log.
I am not really sure if the door opens if you take the loot. I think it opens when you kill the miniboss. So you can kill the miniboss too if you have the patience and repairtools ready to slam through the wall for a long time.

Have fun with the cheese.

I see, I was interested to see the mini-boss actually, I will try later then, can we use the battering ram when I get my hands on it?
