Valheim

Valheim

*answer found*
played for a few hours with everything going well, when i suddenly became unable to auto pick up items.
Inventory is not full/weight is not reached
tried the toggle for auto pickup and it says on
any ideas?

only other thing to note is that the "remove drops" on the valheim tooler only removes the sparkles from the items (not the items themselves) on the ground temporarily.

Did you accidentally press "v" to switch auto pick up off?

Sometimes the obvious answers are the most overlooked, and the question needs to be asked!

If you picked something up and then tossed it out of your inventory, it won't auto-pickup again if you haven't yet left the cell.

It's also possible you may need to toggle auto-pickup a couple of times; sometimes even when it's enabled it may not reenable if you'd previously accidentally toggled it.

Another thing to check is your current carry weight: something that appears to be a single item on the ground (wood, for example) may actually be a larger stack and you might not have sufficient carry capacity remaining to nab it.

i cut a tree down, have more then enough carry weight.
ive tried toggling it a dozen times by now but if more would help.

Gotta be honest, no idea what's taken place. Save and exit, restart. See if that fixes things.

In the future when you find a mod conflict (especially if you are using a lot of mods) disable half of them. If it fixes the problem you know it is in the half you disabled if not you know its in the half that are still enabled. Repeat disabling half until you find the one causing the problem. This will save you lots of time and trouble.
